The team concluded its historic run in the East Asia & Oceania Regional Rounds as the Overall Champions, reclaiming the title it previously won in 2019!

The John H. Jackson WTO Moot is the world’s most prestigious moot court competition on Trade Law and International Economic Law, with participants from over 100 law schools in six different regions and across varying jurisdictions.

This year, the Ateneo-WTO Team successfully garnered the following distinctions:

- Overall Champions of the East Asia & Oceania Region

- Ranked 2nd Overall in the Preliminary Rounds out of 14 qualifying Teams;

- Final Global Rounds Qualifiers;

To cap off this exceptional achievement within the Society’s history, Byron Steven S. Siy (3D) was awarded the honors of Best Oralist in the Final Round.

The Team is composed of Team Captain Raisa Aina M. Pandapatan (2A), Melanie V. De Guzman (3C), and Byron Steven Siy (3D). They were supported by the efforts of Rebecca Claire O. Genato (1D) and Janica Dei G. Jocson as Team Administrators during the Memorial Rounds. The Team is mentored by Atty. Rohnwald Marcelo, and Atty. Luis Teodoro Pascua.

The Team gives special thanks to the Ateneo Law School, the Ateneo Society of International Law, its Executive Committee, its Residents, and its Alumni Members for their invaluable support and guidance.
