Ateneo rises to 455 in QS Sustainability Rankings

Ateneo de Manila University continues to rise in the QS Sustainability Rankings, moving to =455 in the 2026 edition of the rankings table that highlights environmental and social impact of universities.
This is a rise of 48 spots from being ranked 503 in the previous year, making Ateneo the #2 in the Philippines and the highest-ranked Filipino private institution. The latest ranking was released on Tuesday, 18 November 2025.
The QS World Rankings in Sustainability is an annual review and ranking of higher education institutions globally based on three major categories: Environmental Impact, Social Impact, and Governance.
Ateneo was joined in the rankings by the University of the Philippines (=371); De La Salle University (=538); University of Santo Tomas (=834); Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (1151-1200); Mapua University (1251-1300); University of San Carlos (1401-1500); and Cebu Technological University (1501+).
Globally, Sweden's Lund University topped the rankings, followed by University of Toronto and UCL in London. QS said nearly 2,000 institutions were included in this edition of the rankings.
