Sponsored by the Ateneo de Manila Junior High School, the annual University Way of the Cross (Stations of the Cross) was held on the afternoon of Friday, 27 February 2026, at the Loyola Heights campus of Ateneo de Manila University. This year’s gathering carried the theme “Bless Our Darkness, Be Our Light.”
The event began with a 3:45 pm Mass at the AJHS St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel, presided over by University President Fr Roberto “Bobby” C Yap SJ. In his homily, Fr Bobby encouraged the members of the community to accept their crosses with faith and trust in God, especially during the Lenten season, and to find hope in the promise of the Resurrection. “Grant us the grace to deny ourselves, to take up our crosses, and to follow Jesus,” he said in conclusion.
Following the Eucharistic Celebration, the Way of the Cross began at around 4:30 pm, tracing a prayerful route across campus through the 15 Stations:
- Jesus is condemned to death – AJHS Promenade of Our Lady
