02 Apr 2019

oplan tokhang

Continuing the efforts since the launch of the dataset on killings associated with the anti-illegal drug campaign last June 2018, the Interuniversity Consortium led by Ateneo de Manila University, through the Ateneo School of Government, in partnership with De La Salle Philippines, University of the Philippines – Diliman, and The Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism of Columbia Journalism School, has been steadfast in its role as the leader of academic research related to the said policy. The Consortium will organize another forum titled “The Philippine Government’s Anti-Drug Campaign: Examining the Legal Framework of Oplan Tokhang.”

The forum will feature the research of prominent members of the legal academic community in the Philippines. It will provide legal analyses of policies related to the anti-drug campaign through a human rights perspective. Also, it contributes to the diverse responses of the legal academic community to the said government policy.

This forum is open and free to the public but seats are limited. To reserve your seats, kindly accomplish this registration form: https://forms.gle/LFSMFAgfd65BdTSc8.
