ASOG hosted Learning Session on Defining, Determining, and Dealing with Online Falsehoods in Singapore

Last Thursday, 05 January 2023, Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information - Nanyang Technological University Associate Professor, Centre for Information, Integrity, and the Internet (IN-Cube) Director, and Ateneo Policy Center - School of Government (APC-ASoG) Non-Resident Research Fellow, Dr. Edson C. Tandoc Jr. together with IN-Cube Project Officer Mr. Seth Kai Seet conducted an ASOG Learning Session on disinformation, particularly about the study on "Defining , Determining, and Dealing with Online Falsehoods in Singapore."
The said learning session is in line with the ASOG’s initiatives to support anti-disinformation measures to be implemented in the Philippines. Further, the session included discussions regarding the definitions and problems of fake news, the various reasons for its proliferation, as well as potential solutions scrutinized through a series of research projects conducted at the Centre for Information Integrity and the Internet at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
