JGSOM faculty leads system dynamics workshop in Cebu
29 Jun 2023 | Monique Ann Tiongco
Monique Ann Tiongco, from the Department of Quantitative Methods and Information Technology (QMIT) at the John Gokongwei School of Management (JGSOM), along with Henry Bartelet from DynaMundo and James Cook University, skillfully facilitated the "Introduction to Systems Thinking and System Dynamics Workshop" from 20 to 24 June 2023, at the University of San Carlos—Talamban Campus in Cebu City, Philippines. This workshop aimed to provide participants with a solid foundation in systems thinking and system dynamics, enabling them to identify and define complex dynamic problems.
Throughout the workshop, modeling exercises and case studies were employed to reinforce the theoretical concepts and facilitate hands-on learning experiences. Participants from Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Manila, and Tacloban actively engaged in group activities, collaboratively identifying and analyzing their chosen issues affecting the country.
