[Online seminar] Policy of the PROC Toward Southeast Asian States: Implications for Regional Security in the Face of the War in Ukraine

The Academic Center for Strategic Analysis (Poland) in collaboration with the European Studies Program of Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines) and Center for Research Methodology in Security Sciences at the WSB University (Poland) invite interested parties to an international academic seminar examining China’s evolving policy toward Southeast Asia and its consequences for regional and global security. The event takes place on 30 April, 1600 (Manila Time), and will take place on Microsoft Teams.

This interdisciplinary seminar will gather scholars, policy experts, and analysts from across Europe and Southeast Asia. It offers a valuable platform for academic dialogue, policy reflection, and strategic insight into one of the most pressing geopolitical challenges of our time.

The speakers for the event are as follows:

Prof Adam Jelonek
Expert at the Academic Center for Strategic Analysis; Professor of Humanities at the University of Warsaw; former Polish Ambassador to Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines. Prof Jelonek is an accomplished author and advisor on arms trade and Southeast Asian affairs, recognized for his work on social transformation and nationalism in Asia.

Dr Manuel R Enverga III
Director of the European Studies Program at Ateneo de Manila University and the first Filipino recipient of the Jean Monnet Chair in European Studies. Dr. Enverga is a published scholar, consultant, and host of The Eurospeak Podcast, specializing in European-Asian relations and cultural policy.

Moderator: Dr Karol Kujawa
Security and regional policy analyst at the Academic Center for Strategic Analysis and WSB University, where he coordinates the Center for Research Methodology in Security Sciences. His work focuses on state resilience and regional security challenges.
