Ateneo JGSOM joins Erasmus+ Kick-off Meeting and Training in Romania under Green Finance Project

Ateneo de Manila University, through the John Gokongwei School of Management (JGSOM), participated in the Erasmus+ Kick-off Meeting and Training conducted from 23 to 25 January 2026 at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania. The activity is part of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project, Green Finance: Advancing Higher Education for Sustainable Growth in Southeast Asia.
The event aimed to strengthen institutional capacity in developing and implementing green and sustainable finance initiatives within higher education. Key sessions focused on aligning micro-credential programs with European Union frameworks, understanding national and regional policy contexts, and integrating sustainable finance principles into academic offerings.
Discussions also emphasized the role of higher education–industry collaboration in enhancing the relevance and impact of green finance education. Participants explored approaches to industry-linked learning, internships, and partnership models that support employability and workforce readiness in emerging green sectors.
Through its participation in the Green Finance consortium, Ateneo JGSOM continues to advance outcomes-based and industry-responsive education, contributing to the development of future-ready leaders who can support sustainable and inclusive growth in Southeast Asia. The activity further reinforces the University’s commitment to innovation, international collaboration, and sustainability-driven education under the Erasmus+ framework.
