Dr King Harold Recto earns national certification as Certified Mechatronics and Automation Engineer

Dr King Harold A Recto, a faculty member of Electronics, Computer and Communications Engineering Department, has recently earned national recognition after successfully passing the portfolio certification examination for Certified Mechatronics and Automation Engineer, administered by the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines (MRSP).

The rigorous technical evaluation and interview were held from 21 to 22 May 2025, at the Mechatronics Technology Corporation in Quezon City. The examination recognizes professionals who have demonstrated exceptional expertise and contributions in the fields of mechatronics and automation engineering.

Dr Recto currently serves as Assistant Professor at Ateneo de Manila University, where he has been instrumental in shaping innovative programs and guiding students in advanced engineering fields. His achievement underscores his commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies into engineering education and fostering a culture of research and innovation.

The certification board was chaired by Engr Joel B. Bajador with members Engr Philip Marvin D Joven and Engr James Bernard C Itao. Alongside Dr Recto, other accomplished engineers from various universities and industries across the country were also recognized.
