AGS embraces Advent Season with blessing of wreaths

As Ateneo de Manila Grade School embraces the season of Advent, each AGS section's advent wreath was blessed during a morning ceremony held yesterday, November 28, 2022. The special ceremony was prepared by our Campus Ministry Office and took place after the regular 7 am mass in the Chapel of the Holy Guardian Angels. It is hoped that throughout the next four weeks, our students, their families and the entire community will be drawn into deeper conversion to Christ through the wreath's symbolisms and meaning.
The blessing was presided by our Chaplain, Father Vic de Jesus, SJ. The presidents of the Grades 4 to 6 sections joined the short ceremony, as did faculty and staff representatives from various offices. Likewise, the wreaths of the sections from the lower grades were blessed and distributed to their respective classrooms after the blessing.
Indeed, this was a wonderful way to start the season, with our community being given a renewed sense of meaning and purpose in anticipation of the many graces given during this liturgical season.
