ASoG ExecEd, LRB, IPSDI hold training on public policy formulation and analysis for leaders

Another successful face-to-face training program was conducted by the Executive Education (ExecEd) Program unit of the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG) this time, in partnership with the Senate’s Legislative Reference Bureau (LRB) and Institute for Policy, Strategy, and Developmental Studies, Inc. (IPSDI) at the 2nd floor, Tolentino Room of the Senate Building last 31 August 2023. 

The enthusiasm and active participation of the forty-one (41) Senate employees to took this training course to harness and develop their skills in public policy formulation and analysis for leaders made the whole-day learning event beneficial to their respective offices.

ASoG Professor of Praxis, Former Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV, continued to impart his expertise in public policy making to the participants who actively participated in the workshop and group exercises that he had prepared for the day.

The Senate Secretary, Atty Renato Bantug, who made the opening remarks expressed gratitude to the ATENEO School of Government training arm, Executive Education and its partner organization, IPSDI team. He spoke excitedly of the training program as it brings additional knowledge for the staff and executives of the Senate. He encouraged everyone to learn public policy formulation from Former Senator Trillanes so they could apply to their field of work and to their daily lives. 

Mr Jose G Villapando, Bureau Director of LRB, introduced the launching of LRB’s Human Library Project which aimed to disseminate information on legislative related information, research process, and the like. He also thanked the participants and training partners who had made it possible to hold the event despite the inclement weather. 

The Institute of Policy, Strategy and Developmental Studies Inc (IPSDI) is a non profit organization who collaborated with the Ateneo School of Government -Executive Education to bring more improved and innovative learning experience for the people in the public sector.

The Public Policy Formulation and Analysis for Leaders is just one of the focus areas of the training courses being offered by the Executive Education Program as part of its core mission which is to provide high level capacity building programs for national government agencies, local government units, and the private sector towards improved leadership and governance through its learning products and service deliveries.”
