Study by BS Health Sciences graduates among best papers at EISTA 2023 conference

A paper authored by graduates of Ateneo de Manila University's BS Health Sciences program was chosen as one of the best papers during the 21st International Conference on Education and Information Systems, Technologies, and Applications (EISTA 2023) held from 12 to 15 September 2023 in Orlando, Florida.
The paper, entitled The Influence of Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction on Well-Being: A Study on Higher Education Faculty in the New Normal, examines whether satisfying basic psychological needs is a significant predictor of emotional, psychological, and social well-being among higher education faculty during the new normal. Results from their study can hopefully contribute to ongoing discussions on how higher education institutions can support faculty development in the new normal.
The BS Health Sciences graduates involved in this research include Janine Marie Balajadia, Maria Micole Veatrizze Dy, Lukas Parinas, Christine Leila Taguba, Alessandra Grace Tan, Maxine Therese Tuazon, and Jerome Patrick Uy. They completed their undergraduate degree in 2023. This study was part of their undergraduate thesis under the supervision of Dr. Genejane Adarlo, Director of the Health Sciences Program. Their paper is published in the Scopus-indexed proceedings of the EISTA 2023 conference.
