The Ateneo School of Government, through the Executive Education Program, successfully implemented the second iteration of the public offering course, "Project Management for Public Sector Projects," held from 11 to 13 November 2024. This followed the program’s commendable success during its inaugural offering this year in August 2024. The three-day course brought together participants from various sectors, including representatives from the executive and constitutional government bodies such as the Office of the Ombudsman, Department of Agriculture, House of Representatives, Anti-Red Tape Authority, the Local Government Units of Abra de Ilog and Laoang, Northern Samar. It also included participants from civil society organizations and private sectors such as the FriendlyCare Foundation, Inc and Aboitiz InfraCapital, fostering a diverse and collaborative learning environment.

This course focuses on equipping participants with practical, outcomes-based skills to effectively manage the full lifecycle of public sector projects. It emphasizes aligning projects with developmental goals while ensuring sustainability beyond donor support. Prof Manolito “Chito” A. Together, they ensured a dynamic learning experience that emphasized aligning projects with organizational vision for long-term impact, highlighting efficiency and effectiveness across the project lifecycle. During the closing ceremony, tokens of appreciation were handed and Certificates of Completion were presented to the participants. In his closing remarks, Dr Philip Arnold P Tuaño, Dean of ASoG, praised the participants for their commitment and encouraged them to apply the skills and insights gained from the three-day course. He challenged them to design and implement projects that not only achieve their goals but also align with and advance the mission and vision of their respective organizations.
