Igniting the spirit of ALSE OF-LIFE: Trainers empowered and gearing up for the national culture-building workshops in 2025-2026

07 Feb 2025

The recently concluded ALSE OF-LIFE Culture Building Training of Trainers, held on 16 to 17 January 2025, at the University Hotel in UP Diliman, marked a significant milestone in deepening the understanding and commitment of its first cohort of dedicated trainers. The intensive two-day program focused on embedding the core Ignatian values of Magis (Banal at Bayani), Finding God in All Things (Bukas sa Lahat), Cura Personalis (Kalinga sa Sarili at Sangnilikha), and Being Persons for Others (Malasakit at Bayanihan).

min

Through an engaging blend of interactive lectures, group discussions, and experiential learning activities, the training equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills to effectively conduct the National Culture-Building workshops. These workshops will extend the transformative ALSE OF-LIFE experience to the global Filipino diaspora across 39 countries, fostering a sense of shared purpose and commitment to servant leadership.

min

A key highlight of the training was the deepened understanding of Servant Leadership and Ignatian values, which enabled participants to fully appreciate their significance in personal and community transformation. The program also included skills development workshops aimed at facilitating meaningful discussions on ALSE OF-LIFE values, creating and implementing innovative activities that encourage the internalization of these values, and evaluating the effectiveness of value-based initiatives through constructive feedback.

min

Aside from individual growth, the training cultivated a strong sense of community among participants. This shared experience emphasized the significance of collaboration and collective responsibility in enhancing the ALSE OF-LIFE movement. The trainers are now ready to bring this enthusiasm and knowledge back to their respective communities, ensuring that the spirit of ALSE OF-LIFE resonates on national, regional, and global levels.

min

The successful completion of this Training of Trainers is a significant step toward fostering a vibrant ALSE OF-LIFE culture. By empowering these trainers as champions of change, the program ensures that its mission will continue to inspire and guide alumni as servant leaders, changemakers, social innovators, and social entrepreneurs in creating a world of meaning.

min

To strengthen the initiative further, an alpha rollout will be conducted in February 2025 in partnership with the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Macau SAR, followed by a beta rollout in March 2025 in collaboration with MWO Hong Kong SAR. Around 40 ALSE OF-LIFE alumni from various batches are expected to participate in these pioneering National Culture-Building Workshops.

As these newly empowered trainers embrace their roles, they carry forward the torch of ALSE OF-LIFE’s mission, ensuring that its transformative spirit touches Filipino communities around the globe. Their journey signals the start of a movement that will cultivate servant leaders and social innovators for generations to come.
