The two-day training workshop was structured to enhance participants’ competence in managing contracts efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and mitigating potential risks in public sector projects. Designed as an immersive learning experience, the program combined interactive lectures, hands-on workshops, group exercises, and case studies, allowing participants to engage with real-world contract management scenarios. Through these activities, they gained a deeper understanding of contract fundamentals, lifecycle management, and ethical considerations that shape effective decision-making in government procurement and project implementation. The training also addressed critical issues such as ethical dilemmas, conflict of interest, and confidentiality in contracting, equipping participants with the knowledge and strategies needed to uphold transparency, accountability, and public trust in their respective institutions.

Atty Danny E Bunyi, senior partner at DivinaLaw with over 30 years of legal expertise, led the training, offering practical insights on contract management in government projects. With experience in both the private and public sectors, he provided a comprehensive perspective on legal frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation, helping participants navigate the complexities of public sector contracts. A seasoned lecturer, Atty Bunyi also teaches corporation and partnerships law at the Ateneo de Manila University John Gokongwei School of Management.
