Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) extends ONE BIG WELCOME to the nearly 800 Grade 7 students and transferees who joined the MAGISing Orientation on 29 July 2025, and to the 1,600+ upperclassmen who officially began the school year on 30 July 2025 with Schola Brevis and the Votive Mass in honor of the Feast of Saint Ignatius.
We also reflect on the powerful homily of Fr. Philip Yohan SJ, who reminded us during the St Ignatius Mass to live by the words, “I am Third.” He closed his reflection by sharing this heartfelt prayer:
“Lord, I may not be wise like Solomon, or strong like Samson, or brave like David. But I want to serve You. I want to follow You. I want to be third, because You are the first. Amen.”
Here’s to a MAGIStic and grace-filled year of growth, discovery, and transformation for our community. May you, dear Ateneans, always choose to serve others lovingly and purposefully—for the greater glory of God.
