ASOG, The Asia Foundation explore research and reform partnerships

During an exploratory meeting with The Asia Foundation held on 03 February 2026, the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) underscored the need to reassess existing sectoral and social reform agendas amid shifting political dynamics and emerging concerns while identifying potential areas of collaboration in research, policy engagement, and reform initiatives.
The meeting was attended by The Asia Foundation Country Director Sam Chittick and senior program officers Emil Tapnio and Regina Pasion, together with ASOG Dean Dr. Jennifer S. Oreta and Senior Partnerships and Operations Officer Antoinette Sunday Santos.
Among the topics discussed are research directions on populist leadership, political dynasties, and term limits, as well as the challenges of implementing national action plans and advancing peace process and normalization efforts, particularly in decentralized and autonomous governance contexts.
