ASoG Executive Education Program holds open training course on contract management for the public sector

The Ateneo School of Government, through its Executive Education Program, conducted its two-day training course on Contract Management for the Public Sector from 26 to 27 February 2026. The course gathered professionals from local government units, national agencies, government hospitals, the private sector, and the academe for an engaging discussion on fundamentals of contract and ethical practices on contract management.
Participants came from the Provincial Government of Iloilo, Department of Energy, Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Science and Technology - Technology Application and Promotion Institute, Philippine Reclamation Authority, Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Philippine Children's Medical Center, Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, Mindanao State University - General Santos City, South Luzon State University, and La Salle Green Hills. Drawing on their diverse professional backgrounds, they share a common commitment to improving contract management practices and promoting ethical standards in their respective institutions.
The sessions were led by Atty Danny E Bunyi, senior partner at DivinaLaw and a seasoned legal expert in corporate and commercial law. He also teaches corporation and partnerships law at Ateneo de Manila University's John Gokongwei School of Management and has served as a resource person for ASoG Executive Education programs. Atty Bunyi guided the participants by sharing practical insights and professional perspectives on contract management, helping them navigate the complexities of public sector contracting with greater clarity and confidence.
In her opening message, Dean Jennifer S Oreta, PhD, Dean of ASoG, encouraged the participants to approach the course with curiosity, openness, and active engagement. She urged them to learn not only from the sessions and case studies, but also from one another, emphasizing that their diverse experiences are invaluable and greatly enrich this shared learning environment.

Ms Sharon Grace S Yabut, Head of the Executive Education Program, congratulated the participants and emphasized that the true measure of the course lies in how its lessons are applied in their respective offices. She highlighted the importance of learning transfer and continued collaboration, encouraging participants to share insights, strengthen processes, and uphold integrity in advancing effective public sector governance.
