Here’s to a year of authenticity, purpose, and selfless Magis, ASHS!
31 Jul 2025
Welcome home and welcome back, Ateneans! As of today, 30 July 2025, our Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) community is complete for the new school year! After a brief delay, we officially kicked off SY 2025-2026 yesterday with the Ignatian Spirituality and Ateneo Culture (ISAC) sessions for our 993 incoming Grade 11 students. Today, they were joined by the 948 seniors for the solemn St. Ignatius Schoolwide Mass and the informative Schola Brevis Formation this morning, followed by the student-led Senior High School Orientation Seminar (SHOrSem) this afternoon.
As we look ahead to a grace-filled year, let’s take to heart the message of ASHS Chaplain Fr. Weng Bava SJ from this morning’s St. Ignatius Mass. In his engaging (and delightfully Gen Z) homily, he encouraged us to be “simp” “cringe” and “woke” like St. Ignatius of Loyola was. Why? Because in God’s eyes, Ignatius was “sigma,” “kewl,” and “rizz”... a holy Superman.
Here’s to a year of authenticity, purpose, and selfless MAGIS.
Happy Feast Day, ASHS!
