From Election-day setback to political dynasties: ASOG Fellow Michael Yusingco shares expert insights on how to address issues during elections

On the day of the 2022 Presidential Elections, Ateneo Policy Center Senior Research Fellow, Atty. Michael Henry Yusingco tackles various issues affecting the elections including Election Day setbacks, political polarization, disinformation, and political dynasties across different platforms, including special election coverage of CNN and DZXL and DZAS Teleradyo interviews.
Atty. Yusingco enumerated the common problems encountered by the Philippine electorate come election day in his CNN interview, and emphasized the dangers of disinformation and misinformation in the Philippine democracy.
In the DZAS interview, Atty. Yusingco emphasized that the current mishaps encountered by the Philippine electorate in every election day remained the same for decades now and highlighted the role of COMELEC in galvanizing communities in order to address the problems that the voters are facing and communicate them to policy-makers.
He also discussed the root cause and grave effect of political dynasties and how they limit our choices and chance to have a better government in his DZXL interview.
