Research study by ASHS students presented at int’l conference

The research study by Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) students Zaq Ponce, Elyssa Castro, Zoe Panganiban, Manuel Rosario & Joaquin Sinjian of STEM/12-Solinas, “Exploring the Psycho-Social Factors Influencing Pro-Environmental Behavior Among Filipino Youth Environmental Advocates,” was accepted for presentation to the 10th International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) 2022. Organized jointly by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the Master’s in Development Practice (MDP) Global Association, the ICSD was held via Zoom on 19 - 20 September 2022. As principal investigator, Zaq presented the study online on Wednesday, 21 September 2022, during the 5:00 - 7:00 am slot (Philippine time).

The conference brought together 1,463 participants from 164 countries to discuss/celebrate “A Decade of ICSD.” The two-day event hosted 42 different sessions across multiple time zones to accommodate the global audience, with 190 oral presenters and 198 poster presenters.
The study of the ASHS students was written under the guidance of Mr. Richard Deanne “RD” Sagun, the group’s research adviser.
ASHS lauded the group for responding to the school’s institutional goals by promoting a culture of research, internationalization, and global citizenship through their participation in the prestigious conference.
