AJHS boys invited to share reflections on climate change with COP27 attendees

Upon the invitation of Microsoft and the Minecraft Education team, Ateneo de Manila Junior High School administrators and faculty gathered select science students and Sanggunian (student government) members to play BBC Earth and Minecraft Education Edition’s “Frozen Planet II” world on Thursday, October 27, 2022. After playing the game as polar bears, penguins, golden eagles, and more, the students shared their thoughts and reflections on climate change and its impact on wildlife via videotaped interviews. The recordings were then forwarded to Microsoft, which may include clips of the boys’ interviews in the “Student Voice” project Microsoft will present at COP27, the main United Nations Climate Change conference.
COP 27 will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from November 6 to 18, 2022, and will be attended by UN delegates and world leaders.
