Landmark partnership: DND, ASoG ExecEd successfully implement Contract Negotiation and Management Training Program

From 11 to 27 of October 2023, the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG) through its Executive Education Program (ExecEd), in partnership with the Department of National Defense’s Office of Logistics, Acquisition and Self-Reliant Defense Posture (DND-OLAS) conducted the “Contract Negotiation and Management Training” program. This training workshop was delivered in a face-to-face modality and was conducted in three batches, wherein each batch was a three-day long workshop with at least 40 participants from the Department of Defense.
The workshop was designed to capacitate its participants with the knowledge, skills, and abilities for contract negotiation and management and was delivered by subject matter experts exercising expertise in the field of contract negotiation and management, including Atty Antonio Gabriel La Viña, Ms Eleanor “Bubut” Cruz, and Mr Jed Alegado through five modules and their corresponding workshop activities.
The training workshop was designed for those with work functions and responsibilities in procurement, supply chain, and resource management, particularly the leaders of the technical working group and the project management team of DND involved in contract negotiation and procurement. This included the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Army Force (PAF), Philippine Navy (PN), and the Department of National Defense proper as well as the Civilian Bureaus, which include the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC), Government Arsenal (GA), and National Defense College of The Philippines (NDCP). The participants completed the training and received their respective certificates of completion.
