The Ateneo Center for Organization Research and Development (CORD) conducted a Certificate Course on Workplace Mental Health for Leaders, aimed at strengthening the capacity of leaders and professionals to promote mental health and well-being in the workplace.
The course was designed to equip HR practitioners, managers, and organizational leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to better support employee mental health. Through discussions and simulations, participants learned how to recognize mental health concerns and respond to common workplace mental health situations using evidence-based approaches.
The training covered key topics such as understanding the effects of mental health challenges on employee well-being and productivity, recognizing symptoms of common mental health conditions in employees, and developing effective communication skills to identify and support team members who may need assistance. Participants also learned practical strategies for responding to mental health challenges and addressing related emergencies in workplace settings.
The Workplace Mental Health for Leaders course was held from 13 to 15 May 2025, as a three-day onsite training at the Ateneo CORD Training Center, Ateneo de Manila University.
Through initiatives such as this certificate course, Ateneo CORD continues to support organizations and leaders in building healthier and more supportive workplaces, highlighting the importance of mental health awareness, early intervention, and responsible leadership.
