Dr Dennis Batangan named 2025 Lourdes Campos Awardee for Public Health

On 11 August 2025, the Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (PhilAAST) announced that Dr Dennis Batangan, Medical Doctor, Public Health Specialist, and Research Scientist at Ateneo de Manila University, has been selected as the 2025 Lourdes Campos Awardee for Public Health.
The award will be formally conferred during the 74th Annual PhilAAST Convention on 12 September 2025, at the Manila Hotel from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. A day prior, on 11 September 2025, awardees will take part in a press conference at the Philippine Science High School, Agham Road, Diliman, Quezon City, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, where they will present their work and achievements.
The Lourdes Campos Award for Public Health recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the field through research, policy, and practice. Dr Batangan’s selection underscores ongoing efforts within the health sector to strengthen research-based public health initiatives in the Philippines.
