Professor Emeritus Dr Emma Porio in Norway to discuss climate change

Currently in Oslo for the UNFCCC–IPCC Lead Authors Meeting, Dr Emma Porio, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the Dr Rosita G Leong School of Social Sciences (RGLSOSS) of Ateneo de Manila University, is participating in high-level discussions that bring climate science into direct conversation with policy and practice, including engagements with the Norwegian Environmental Agency.
Her participation builds on her recent appointment as a Lead Author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Special Report on Climate Change and Cities, recognizing her internationally regarded scholarship on urban resilience and sustainability and Ateneo’s contribution to global climate action.
